Our stalwart “Ring and ride” driver Nigel Lemon has now retired, after nine years with us. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Nigel for all his hard work over the years, and to wish him a truly happy and peaceful retirement.
A new driver, Julie, has come to join our happy throng. Julie comes to us from doing the county council school run. She will be taking over the Thursday ring and ride.
We have a new assistant office co-ordinator, Helen. As well as organising bookings, Helen is responsible for maintaining and updating our social media. One of her Facebook posts asking for volunteer drivers resulted in the lovely Rod signing up with us as a volunteer driver.
As well as the office co-ordinator, we have another Helen, who is also joining us as a volunteer driver. She learned of our need through us taking a relative out for various health and well-being trips.
Despite these wonderful new arrivals, we are still desperate for additional volunteer drivers, especially to cover Fridays. Any time you can spare us, even if it’s only a few hours, would be gratefully received.
